About Directors
A Director is one of 5 individuals who is willing to give of his or her time to make a difference in conservation in Kane and DuPage counties. If you are interested in becoming involved in the Soil & Water Conservation District attending board meetings will give you a better understanding of what we do.

About Associate Directors
Associate Directors are volunteers interested in providing their expertise to the Soil & Water Conservation District, yet do not have the time to commit to serving on the Board. An Associate Director monitors the activities of the SWCD by reviewing the monthly minutes and provides assistance in various SWCD activities as his or her time allows. An Associate Director may attend board meetings and serve on committees, but cannot make motions or vote. Becoming an Associate Director is a good way to learn about the functions of the SWCD in preparation for becoming a director.

If you have an interest in becoming involved, attending board meetings will give you a better understanding of what we do.
